Episode Transcript
[00:00:00] Speaker A: Hello, friends, and welcome to another single serving adventure from Queen's Court Games. I'm Aubrey, and tonight we have a jaunt into the world of Buffy the Vampire Slayer one last time. We'll be playing Eat yout Young, a scenario written for the Buffy the Vampire Slayer TTRPG from Eden Studios by me. You can find more information about the game itself by taking a look at the show notes. Now, while this isn't a horror scenario per se, there are some topics that some viewers might find uncomfortable or objectionable.
You can get a list of these topics by checking the show notes. The cast has been briefed on these topics and has QCG's safety tools at hand. But make sure to keep yourself safe and take breaks if you need them. Now that that's all settled, let's meet our amazing cast for the final time this season.
First up, we have Most Likely to draw occult symbols into their latte. It's Saffron.
[00:01:05] Speaker B: Hello. You said that while I was scratching furiously doodling out of stress. So it's very especially true right now.
[00:01:16] Speaker C: Hello.
[00:01:18] Speaker A: Next up, Most Likely to make a deal with demons so they never have to sleep again. We have Dusty.
[00:01:27] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:01:31] Speaker A: And then Most Likely to realize the theater professor is a witch. It's Jen.
[00:01:36] Speaker D: Yeah, hi. Hey, Albert. What the fuck?
[00:01:38] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, I imagine we'll be getting a lot of that. And lastly, but not leastly, it's Most Likely to kiss a vampire. It's QCG's resident art czar and Queen of the Court.
[00:01:51] Speaker C: D. You say nice things about me now, but the things that you do to me in this game, I'm not so sure that there. There's a. There's a dichotomy here that I'm just not.
It's not vibing with me too well, but. Hi, friends.
[00:02:10] Speaker A: Now that the cast is introduced, let's tell you a story.
So, last session, the cast mended some bridges and decided to go on a bit of a field trip.
This field trip took them a little bit north to Cape May, where they broke into a hotel room for the witch Alys Maclay.
Paulo met a very friendly werewolf. And then you put the werewolf into timeout.
And then everything ended with you getting a text message from a blocked number with a photo of Catriona, your watcher, tied to the statue in the quad with the note of Come or she dies.
[00:03:16] Speaker C: So what are we going to do with this werewolf?
[00:03:22] Speaker D: I don't care, but we have to go.
[00:03:24] Speaker E: Bring them with us. Throw them in the trunk.
[00:03:27] Speaker C: No, definitely not bringing a werewolf anywhere. Close to me.
[00:03:32] Speaker B: Yeah, she. She could wake up and. I mean, we could maybe just tie her up here. Maybe in the.
I don't. I don't know.
[00:03:42] Speaker C: I'm still not 100% sure why you wouldn't let me kill her, but here we are.
[00:03:50] Speaker D: Just stuff her in Alice's room and let's go.
[00:03:53] Speaker E: Hey.
[00:03:57] Speaker D: Go ahead. Go ahead.
[00:03:59] Speaker E: Director, would it be possible to say, per chance, because I use my car for work, I maybe have some silver and gold chains in the back.
[00:04:10] Speaker D: Silver.
[00:04:13] Speaker E: It's not uncommon that. For us to do. Weird.
[00:04:17] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. Call highs or lows.
[00:04:21] Speaker E: Lowe's. And I'm willing to spend some of my good luck points on this.
[00:04:25] Speaker A: Angel in luck. It's a three on the dice. So. Yes, you have some silver chains. It's for that ghost. You know, like a season ago.
You know, that ghost was really trying to do the ghost of Christmas past, but unfortunately they were picking on. Picking on students rather than the, you know, I don't know, the people who run the school. So, you know, you had to deal with them.
[00:04:49] Speaker C: Yeah. And you know what? When. When. When Paolo goes and grabs them, I'm. I'm. I'm not going to, like, openly apologize, but, like, I've been giving them crap about not taking those chains out of the back of the car for a really long time. So, like, secretly, I'm just kind of like, oh, all right. Okay.
[00:05:09] Speaker D: Hello. You got a screwdriver?
[00:05:11] Speaker E: Probably, yeah.
[00:05:13] Speaker D: Great. Thanks. I will grab it, and I'm going to puncture the motorcycle tires.
[00:05:18] Speaker E: Smart.
[00:05:19] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:05:20] Speaker E: Hey, Director, does anything happen when I touch these silver chains?
[00:05:27] Speaker A: It's a moment where it's like, you know, when you. You touch a pan that's a little too warm, and you can either leave your hand there or you can.
You can. You can take your hand off, but, you know, it's. It's not going to be comfortable if you continue leaving your hand there.
[00:05:47] Speaker E: I. Yeah, I definitely. I go to grab, and I pick it up and feel it, and I drop it immediately and then look up at Jen.
Could you grab those?
We don't have time to talk about this right now. We need to go.
[00:06:07] Speaker B: Yeah, we don't have time for this.
[00:06:12] Speaker D: Jen is muted.
[00:06:15] Speaker C: All right, fine. But we're gonna talk about this at some point. And I, like, reach down and I grab them, and I'm. I'm going to go through the trouble of, like, tying this werewolf up. And then just because I'm annoyed at everything that's happened, and obviously it doesn't matter anymore, I'M going to take the. The back of my axe and I'm going to smash the sliding glass doors open.
And then I'm going to reach in and I'm going to just, like, open the door so I don't have to, like, step through glass because at this point I'm fucking pissed. And like, oh, there's a spell on this door that lets them know that we're here. Great. Now they know that we're here, like, as if they didn't already know. But now for realsies. And I just, like, chuck the werewolf in on top of, like, the folders and whatever, like, just don't even care and just, like, close, like, slam the door behind me. And of course, when I do, like, any of the glass remaining, like, just kind of, like, falls and like, shatters some more.
But I don't care because I'm just pissed.
[00:07:29] Speaker B: There wasn't, like, anything in the room that was beneficial to us, right? Because it was all of, like, it was all of their info on us. There wasn't any info on them, right?
[00:07:44] Speaker A: Not really. Not really any info on them. This is. They don't seem to be paranoid enough to keep very detailed files about each other.
[00:07:52] Speaker B: Yeah, we should probably just. We should probably just go.
We should. We should. We. We should go.
[00:08:00] Speaker C: I mean. Well, okay, now, what are, what are the chances they have duplicates of these files? Pretty high. Right? So there's no point in, like, taking these because they probably have copies. Right?
Right.
[00:08:12] Speaker D: Yeah. It. It doesn't matter. We just have to go.
[00:08:14] Speaker B: Catrion is in trouble.
[00:08:19] Speaker C: Yeah, well, you know, I. And I'm just kind of like. I'm grabbing all of our stuff and, like, you know, heading to the car and I'm just like. I'm just saying, like, if those are the only copies of the folders and there are other slayers in there, we may stop more from happening, just in case there are others. But, like, if we think that there's no chance that these are the only folders, then it doesn't matter.
[00:08:43] Speaker B: We can, we can always. I don't know, maybe we should just come back.
I don't know. I mean, maybe. I. I guess we don't know if for sure if the person who's kidnapped Catriona is, like, Alice and the, the family, but it doesn't matter.
[00:09:04] Speaker D: They have her.
[00:09:05] Speaker B: That was like a chance that could happen.
[00:09:08] Speaker A: So, November.
[00:09:11] Speaker E: We don't have time to talk about this. Jen, grab them, throw them in the trunk. We just gotta go.
[00:09:19] Speaker C: Great.
And I will just, like, run back into the room and in just like, a whirlwind, just, like, scoop everything up and just, like, shove it into a pillowcase. Because there are so many pillowcases. But I'm just gonna grab a pillowcase, shove everything in it. Like you do for Halloween candy.
[00:09:38] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah.
[00:09:39] Speaker D: Hello, Floret.
[00:09:43] Speaker A: Yeah, you.
You do.
As you all get in the car, you climb in and are heading out, like, kind of like, you know, being chased by a devil. You know that saying, chasing the devil.
[00:10:02] Speaker C: Or chasing it literally or metaphor.
[00:10:07] Speaker A: Metaphorically.
[00:10:09] Speaker C: Look, I have to ask. At this point. Have to ask. Wouldn't be surprised if it was literally.
[00:10:14] Speaker A: Just to be clear, one of you will look down at one point and see that that business. That strange business card is, like, sticking out of one of the air vents.
[00:10:25] Speaker B: That was it. Doing, like, an ominous, like.
[00:10:28] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:10:30] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:10:34] Speaker C: You know what? It. Can I call the number?
[00:10:38] Speaker A: Yeah, you can.
[00:10:39] Speaker C: Great. I'm gonna call the number. I'm so mad. I'm absolutely pissed right now.
[00:10:44] Speaker D: So I'm gonna call after you call the number. I have one more phone call I need to make.
[00:10:49] Speaker A: Yeah, you. You do. And a sort of a calming voice on the other side picks up and says, thank you for calling the institute. Please state your problem.
[00:11:06] Speaker C: Slayers.
[00:11:13] Speaker A: Thank you. Your problem has been logged. Have a good day. And the phone. And it hangs up.
[00:11:22] Speaker E: What did you do?
[00:11:24] Speaker D: Slay slayer. What?
[00:11:27] Speaker C: And I'll. You know what? I'm gonna call the number back. And this time, I put it on. I put it on speakerphone.
[00:11:35] Speaker A: Yeah. You get the. The same sort of very calming voice that says, thank you for calling the institute. Please state your problem.
[00:11:45] Speaker D: The family.
[00:11:49] Speaker A: Transferring you.
And there's a sort of a. After like a minute or so, there's a. There's a male voice who picks up and says, calling about the family.
[00:12:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:12:17] Speaker A: Have you encountered them?
[00:12:19] Speaker C: Unfortunately.
[00:12:22] Speaker A: What is your location?
[00:12:26] Speaker C: Cape May.
[00:12:32] Speaker A: Under no circumstances are you to get involved in this.
The Institute will handle this.
[00:12:43] Speaker C: Okay.
Hypothetical question. What if we are already involved in this and are about to go get more involved in this?
[00:12:57] Speaker A: I would say to do it quickly.
[00:12:59] Speaker C: Okay.
Do you have any advice?
[00:13:09] Speaker A: The one that calls himself Father is.
We believe he used to be a watcher.
He knows your tricks.
He knows what you do, knows how you think.
[00:13:32] Speaker C: Okay.
I'm gonna look at November at this point, because I remember November saying that they. You know, saying that they had a thought that it could have been a watcher.
Okay.
And. And I'm. I'm. I'm willing to give a little bit more information to this Person, just like a little bit. And I will let them know that where. Like where we are headed and where we expect a larger altercation to take place.
And then just kind of flat out ask, like, what is the Institute exactly?
[00:14:18] Speaker A: We are a group of individuals that have decided that even if we aren't always endowed in a way that slayers are, that will do our best to help people.
[00:14:37] Speaker C: Okay, question number slayers.
[00:14:43] Speaker A: We have some.
[00:14:44] Speaker C: That's one of the other questions. Yeah.
So would you. Would you say that it would be bad then, if the business card that we found this number on was found in a room belonging to a family member?
[00:15:11] Speaker A: Who was the family member?
[00:15:15] Speaker C: We think it was Alice McClay.
[00:15:19] Speaker A: Yeah. Alice McClay is a. No longer a member of the Institute.
[00:15:31] Speaker D: Defector.
[00:15:33] Speaker C: But she was at one point.
[00:15:36] Speaker A: Yes, we used her magical skills.
[00:15:42] Speaker C: And now she's a member of the family.
[00:15:45] Speaker A: Yes. Their leader is persuasive.
[00:15:51] Speaker C: Do you know who this leader is, by chance?
[00:15:56] Speaker A: He has been, unfortunately, avoiding our attempts to figure out his identity. He knows we are on to him, and.
But we believe he is one of the watchers of one of the dead slayers.
[00:16:21] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:16:23] Speaker D: Oh.
[00:16:27] Speaker B: If. If you are aware of the family, then why.
Why haven't you stopped these. The. The deaths? Why haven't you. What have you been doing all this time that if.
[00:16:43] Speaker A: If family isn't the only problem on our radar. We've done our best to keep any slayers that we are aware of safe. But there's just so many of you, and it's not exactly like there is any kind of database where we can know who any of you are.
[00:17:01] Speaker D: Maybe there should be.
[00:17:04] Speaker C: No, I think. I think I'm better there not being that information widely available to anybody who might need it.
[00:17:12] Speaker E: Hey. We left a werewolf back there.
Did you all go get it?
[00:17:19] Speaker A: Give me the address. What's the address?
[00:17:22] Speaker E: Someone not driving. Tell them.
[00:17:25] Speaker D: I repeat, the address. Room 12.
[00:17:28] Speaker C: Room 3rd. Oh, yeah. 1213 was our room. That's right. I was gonna be like, room 13. No, room 12.
[00:17:33] Speaker D: You'll know it by the broken glass in the back.
Yeah, and the broken window. Like, broken, as in like. Like the hinge is broken, not the actual glass.
[00:17:42] Speaker A: Anyway, we'll find it. We'll. We'll deal with them.
[00:17:47] Speaker D: Oh, and the motorcycle. And the motorcycle with the puncture tires.
[00:17:50] Speaker C: That.
[00:17:51] Speaker D: That was hers, too.
[00:17:54] Speaker A: Well, make sure that it doesn't become a problem.
[00:17:58] Speaker B: Do you know how many are in the family?
[00:18:00] Speaker C: How.
[00:18:01] Speaker B: Like what. What exactly are we dealing with? You said it's. It's a retired Watcher and.
And someone that used to be with this. Your institute? Like what? What are we in store for besides blood and possible death?
[00:18:23] Speaker A: The family itself is a network.
We don't know the full extent of the network, but Father leads it.
And there he has several lieutenants. Unfortunately, Ms. McLay is now one of them.
And possibly that werewolf you encountered.
We believe he has several others, but we have not been able to identify them.
Magic of some kind is keeping them shrouded from us.
[00:18:58] Speaker D: What are the odds that he'll be there?
[00:19:01] Speaker A: Hi.
Be careful. If you do decide to engage, he has already killed at least two slayers.
[00:19:09] Speaker C: We don't really have a choice because they have our Watcher.
[00:19:17] Speaker A: Okay.
[00:19:21] Speaker E: Hey, before y'all go, do you just. By happenstance, do y'all know a cure for like, werewolf?
Just a question.
[00:19:36] Speaker A: As far as I can tell from our systems, there is no definitive cure for lycanthropy. But it can be controlled with training and time.
[00:19:47] Speaker E: Wild. Okay. Thank you.
[00:19:49] Speaker D: I think death will do it.
[00:19:53] Speaker A: We'll probably be seeing each other eventually. My name is Artyom.
[00:19:58] Speaker C: Artyom.
[00:19:59] Speaker D: Okay, we'll call back if we survive.
[00:20:05] Speaker C: Yes, that's the spirit. Ari.
[00:20:09] Speaker A: You can reach me at this number.
[00:20:13] Speaker C: Well, you can reach me at this one. So you know.
[00:20:18] Speaker D: If they have caller id.
[00:20:21] Speaker C: It's the future. Everybody has caller id.
[00:20:28] Speaker A: Good luck. Don't die. And the phone.
[00:20:31] Speaker D: Oh, gee, thanks.
[00:20:33] Speaker C: Phone call hangs UP okay, well, that was worthwhile.
[00:20:38] Speaker B: We're. We're speeding there, so.
[00:20:41] Speaker E: Oh, yeah, no, I've been driving this whole time.
[00:20:43] Speaker A: Yeah, you've got at least. You've got at least an hour drive. Probably closer. It was like an hour and a half. So you probably scoot it down to like. Depending on how much you really want to go up to the speed limit, probably a little under an hour.
[00:20:54] Speaker D: Important question.
We know. We think that the father. That father is one of the Death Slayer's watcher.
Should we call Gideon?
[00:21:12] Speaker C: Look, do. I mean if they have Catriona and Catriona and Gideon were together, like, what are the chances he's still alive?
They might have just.
[00:21:22] Speaker D: Let's find out.
[00:21:23] Speaker C: Okay. All right.
[00:21:24] Speaker D: I will go ahead, flip open my phone. It's not like, oh, it's 2018. I will go ahead.
[00:21:29] Speaker C: Jesus. I mean, know I was trying to be hilarious, but it would be very funny.
[00:21:36] Speaker A: But no Samsung flip thingies.
[00:21:38] Speaker D: Absolutely not. I need to have access to PayPal on my phone. So. No, I will go ahead and pop open my.
Unlock my phone and I will go ahead and call Gideon.
[00:21:52] Speaker A: It rings. Two, three. You're pretty sure it's almost going to go to voicemail. And then he picks up and says, ah, Ari, I was wondering when you would go.
[00:22:02] Speaker D: Gideon, we need your help. They've taken Catriona.
[00:22:06] Speaker A: Yeah, I'm aware.
[00:22:09] Speaker C: Is.
Does Ari have the phone on speakerphone right now?
[00:22:13] Speaker D: Yeah. Yeah, okay.
[00:22:18] Speaker C: What do you mean you're aware?
[00:22:20] Speaker B: Are you hurt?
[00:22:22] Speaker A: I'm fine. I wasn't in the apartment the time I ran to get takeout.
[00:22:30] Speaker D: Okay, they have her on the quad. Don't do anything stupid. We're coming back. We'll be there in 50 minutes.
[00:22:41] Speaker A: I'll meet you at the Skull 45.
[00:22:43] Speaker C: If Paulo floors it.
[00:22:46] Speaker A: What do you mean?
[00:22:47] Speaker E: You know like what? Why aren't you acting faster?
[00:22:51] Speaker D: Well, he's only one person. He can't take on the entire family by himself.
Yeah, his family takes out slayers. He can't. Not by himself.
[00:23:04] Speaker A: Right.
[00:23:04] Speaker C: Well, I'm. I mean, happy that you're not dead, I guess. Or captured.
[00:23:10] Speaker D: Yeah. Meet us.
Meet us at pa's parking spot.
[00:23:19] Speaker A: I will figure out where that is and I'll meet you there.
[00:23:24] Speaker D: Parking lot C, third row back.
[00:23:27] Speaker A: Dilly noted.
[00:23:33] Speaker D: And I will hang up.
[00:23:39] Speaker E: Yeah, I'm flooring it like it's the middle of the night, right?
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like this is not a, like, auto manual car. But I'm just tell everyone to put on their seat belts if they haven't already. And if you haven't, why don't you put on your seat belt?
[00:23:59] Speaker A: Muttering from. From DEZ in the back. He's like, technically, I'm dead.
[00:24:03] Speaker E: I don't care. I don't want to be killed by your head.
[00:24:08] Speaker D: They've got a point.
[00:24:10] Speaker A: Crumble. Crumble. Fine.
[00:24:12] Speaker D: Buckle in. Des?
[00:24:18] Speaker A: Yeah. Any.
Any phone calls or anything anybody else wants to make while you're heading there.
[00:24:25] Speaker B: I mean, I don't think there's anything we can do except prepare to go into battle.
[00:24:37] Speaker D: Yep. Do we have any kind of, like, medical supplies that we can use to up the. To re up any of us from the life damage that we took?
Oh, I don't know if that's a thing.
Just two of us got hurt. Just Paulo and me, I think.
[00:24:52] Speaker C: Yeah, I didn't get hurt.
[00:24:54] Speaker D: Paul is more significantly hurt than I am.
[00:24:56] Speaker C: But.
[00:24:58] Speaker D: But, yeah, like, are there band aids?
[00:24:59] Speaker B: And I have no skills in doctor, so.
[00:25:03] Speaker D: Neither do I.
I'm driving.
[00:25:06] Speaker C: Yeah, I don't either, actually. Yeah, I'm not. I. I don't intend to ever get hurt, so why would I need to Learn how to doctor that feels silly.
[00:25:18] Speaker D: That has such the best defense is a good offense energy.
[00:25:22] Speaker C: Yeah, absolutely. 100%.
[00:25:25] Speaker A: Can't get hurt if you don't let them hurt you.
[00:25:27] Speaker C: Yeah.
[00:25:31] Speaker A: Yeah, unfortunately, I mean, you probably have something, but unfortunately none of you have any real first aid training. And especially moving at high speeds like this.
[00:25:43] Speaker D: Cool, cool. Worth a shot.
[00:25:45] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:25:45] Speaker C: Just.
[00:25:45] Speaker D: Just don't be hit again, fellow.
[00:25:49] Speaker E: Thanks.
[00:25:51] Speaker C: Well, he's got that sick werewolf power now.
[00:25:54] Speaker D: Oh, yeah, they do.
[00:25:58] Speaker E: Don't say it like that.
[00:26:00] Speaker C: Well, look, I'm really not looking forward.
I'm really not looking forward to having to chain you down in like two days.
[00:26:08] Speaker E: I just can't develop photos anymore.
[00:26:10] Speaker B: That was Saffron saying what were the worst could happen.
[00:26:15] Speaker C: Yeah. I think you're gonna have to go digital for a little bit, Paulo.
[00:26:23] Speaker E: I can't do my job like this.
[00:26:28] Speaker C: I like that's how what you're concerned about.
[00:26:34] Speaker A: Parking lot C. Parking lot C. Park, third space from the back.
[00:26:39] Speaker B: You know what I might try to do?
I have an idea which is.
[00:26:45] Speaker C: I love that sentence.
[00:26:48] Speaker B: Like, okay, we're in a speeding car. It's high stress. But I'm gonna. Can I like, close my eyes and see if I can like focus really hard on like thinking about like.
I don't know either. The dreams that I've had, like the past, like stuff that I've seen, like if there's any clue. And I've probably been doing this like, almost as like a coping mechanism, just like running through every like thing that I've. I've seen and seeing if like, is there a different way it could have gone? Is there a different way it could have gone? Is there a different way it could have gone?
[00:27:38] Speaker A: Gone, of course. Give me kind of trying to just make a premonition of some kind.
[00:27:45] Speaker B: Yeah.
[00:27:46] Speaker A: Give me a willpower occultism role.
[00:27:50] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:27:53] Speaker D: Okay.
[00:27:55] Speaker B: That is.
That's total is a 13. So level success or level three success?
[00:28:08] Speaker A: Level three success.
[00:28:11] Speaker B: I'm trying to see if I.
Yeah. Could I add plus 10 to that roll?
[00:28:24] Speaker A: You certainly can if you want to spend that drama point.
[00:28:27] Speaker B: I mean, I have 60 drama points still.
[00:28:31] Speaker C: It's the finale.
[00:28:32] Speaker D: Use them all.
So drama points carry over to season two.
[00:28:38] Speaker A: Theoretically, you might get more.
So you. You do this and you focus in on this, thinking about it. And you see. See the statue in the quad. You see Catriona tied up to it, unconscious. There's a single red dot in the center of her forehead, like a laser sight.
Can't see where it's from, but Something certainly has its sight set on Catriona. There's a man who's shrouded by. By some kind of magic.
Something is hiding him from your view.
And he holds out two boxes, and each box has a syringe in it.
He says, if you just do what you're told, she won't die.
[00:29:52] Speaker B: Wait, Is, like, Catriona like a conscious. And is like.
[00:29:56] Speaker A: She is not conscious.
[00:29:59] Speaker B: Okay.
Do I. Is there another figure that is being like. Who. Who was that?
[00:30:05] Speaker D: He's talking to you, bud.
He's talking to you, bud.
[00:30:10] Speaker A: Not you specifically, but you suddenly realize you're seeing through one of the Slayer's eyes in this moment.
This is what will take away their powers and giving them the choice of who lives, who dies.
[00:30:36] Speaker B: No, that does. I don't. Okay.
[00:30:43] Speaker C: Oh, that's a sickly feeling.
[00:30:57] Speaker B: If there's two slayers, they only.
[00:31:00] Speaker A: There's two syringes.
[00:31:10] Speaker B: Okay.
And this is, like, what could happen. This is not actively happening.
[00:31:16] Speaker A: This is what could happen.
[00:31:20] Speaker B: Okay, cool.
I think I'm just kind of, like, shivering and not saying anything and just, like, kind of. I don't know if I'm. I'm hopefully sitting next to Jen. I think I'm just gonna kind of, like, just cuddle into her side.
[00:31:42] Speaker C: While this is happening. And like, before November kind of cuddles up and I realize that something is wrong. I'm. I'm having this thought out loud and I just. I say, why do you think he didn't call us?
Like, he has our numbers, right? Like, why.
[00:32:01] Speaker E: Like, that's what I was saying. Like, why is he taking so long?
[00:32:05] Speaker C: Like, why wouldn't he have called us? Like, he said that he was waiting for you to call.
I mean, I don't know, like, tinfoil hat here.
Like, I don't know, man. It just. It feels like maybe. And then at this point, November will lean over and I'll just kind of be like, whoa, hey, are you okay?
[00:32:38] Speaker A: Just.
[00:32:38] Speaker B: It's. I'm just, like.
I don't.
I just. I'm trying to think of a way that you guys can survive this night.
[00:32:56] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:32:56] Speaker D: Your father.
[00:32:58] Speaker C: Yeah. I mean, I. I've told you from the beginning that I don't intend to die, so, you know, plan on going back on that.
[00:33:14] Speaker E: Director. Can I. Could I make a werewolf adult brain check.
[00:33:20] Speaker A: Sure.
[00:33:21] Speaker E: To think, like, what Jen was saying, and I just, like what I'm thinking.
To think about why Gideon would be acting so weird with, like, my photographic memories of thinking back on stuff, I get to add a plus Four.
[00:33:41] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, go for it.
We'll do a.
Intelligence perception and add your plus four for your photographic memory.
1919.
You now suddenly thinking about the.
Yeah.
You probably initially pass it off as just, oh, he would already know these things.
But reading the autopsy reports didn't seem surprised about anything that was in them.
And now that you're looking even further a bit. There was.
There was no grief.
Anything. There was a facade, something he put on to trick people.
Gideon is a manipulator. He's.
You've almost caught him lies before, but he knows how to manipulate people.
The time where you were asking him, you almost got him. You. You now realize that he was lying then.
He's been lying the entire time.
And.
[00:35:21] Speaker E: Well, Jen and November are like talking real quick. I just. You. You hear me muttering and I'm. I'm slamming the foot. My foot down even more. Like the. The gears are going into the red and I'm just. It's Gideon.
[00:35:41] Speaker D: What?
[00:35:42] Speaker C: What? What do you mean it's Gideon?
[00:35:44] Speaker E: He's father.
[00:35:49] Speaker D: How do. Why?
[00:35:52] Speaker E: I. I just started listing off just because he said, like he had no grief. He knew stuff he shouldn't have known from the. All the autopsies. He did not care about all these slayers dying.
[00:36:00] Speaker A: He's.
[00:36:00] Speaker E: And he's the manipulator. Literally just saying. He's a former watcher. The Institute said they were a former watcher.
Why do they know all our tricks? Because they've been working with us.
[00:36:11] Speaker C: I'm calling Artium.
[00:36:15] Speaker E: Call their ass. I'm gonna break this car. I need to take it in tomorrow.
[00:36:21] Speaker C: But I. I call RDM the fastest I can.
[00:36:27] Speaker A: Yeah, you.
You get a.
You will pick up on the second or third ring and say, agent Moon, how can I help you?
[00:36:38] Speaker C: Does the name Gideon mean anything to you?
[00:36:41] Speaker D: Gideon Post.
[00:36:43] Speaker A: Gideon Post.
[00:36:43] Speaker C: Yeah, that Gideon Post.
[00:36:45] Speaker A: Gideon Post.
Watcher of the first slayer. Slightly disgraced family.
Both his niece and his sister did not great things.
[00:37:00] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah. So we have reason to believe that. Well, so one of us thinks that his father at least. At the very least, potentially a lieutenant, if not the father. But there. Yeah, he was with our watcher who got kidnapped and things that were kind of putting puzzle pieces together.
So we're kind of a little concerned at this point about. About all.
[00:37:30] Speaker A: Yeah, that does check out in a way. We've never really had anything concrete to pin on Gideon.
It's not just going back to his family having a bad reputation.
[00:37:48] Speaker C: Yeah.
Yeah. So I guess. I guess let people know Gideon Post name to add to your list.
And. And I guess. I guess I'll. We'll let you know if there's anything more. But if you've got anything helpful, now would be the time.
[00:38:09] Speaker A: Well, they are using a modified version of the. The serum that blocks slayer's abilities. It's an.
Kind of an adrenal suppressants.
Anything that would stimulate adrenaline would do pretty well to counter it.
[00:38:28] Speaker C: Okay. Okay.
[00:38:33] Speaker A: They have people who among them who have military training, so be careful of that.
[00:38:41] Speaker D: Great.
[00:38:44] Speaker E: Rings of expletives.
[00:38:46] Speaker B: Take this. This, this suppressant.
Is that.
That. That means that.
[00:38:56] Speaker D: Will he just be normal?
[00:38:58] Speaker B: Would that. Does that like help or does that. Is that how they're like. Are they suppressing. They're suppressing slayer powers to try to subdue and kill the slayers. Is that.
[00:39:11] Speaker A: That's our working theory is they use this to subdue the slayers, taking away their powers. So they're still people who have training, but they don't have super strength, super agility or anything like that. They're normal.
Sometimes not as well trained people.
[00:39:35] Speaker B: And they do that before then, the ritual?
[00:39:38] Speaker A: Yeah, it once taken, it should wear off within 24 hours.
[00:39:43] Speaker D: But by then we'll be dead.
[00:39:47] Speaker A: Yes, that's usually the idea of. They keep them for days, sometimes preparing for the ritual.
[00:39:57] Speaker D: Oh, great.
[00:40:01] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:40:03] Speaker D: Well, any help would be appreciated if you can get. If you can get to the campus.
I'll see what I can do within the next checks. Notes. 40 minutes.
[00:40:16] Speaker A: It's a bit far coming from New York, but I'll see what I can do.
[00:40:19] Speaker D: Get a helicopter.
[00:40:21] Speaker C: Okay. All right.
Thanks already.
[00:40:26] Speaker E: I'm gonna run him over.
[00:40:31] Speaker C: Please don't.
[00:40:32] Speaker D: Oh, funny Brandon, to get in with your car.
[00:40:35] Speaker A: I mean, have we tried hitting Gideon with a car?
[00:40:38] Speaker D: I. Look, I think it's. I think it's a great idea.
[00:40:41] Speaker E: Find out.
[00:40:42] Speaker D: Let's find out.
Has anyone tried it yet? I don't know, but let's find out. I doubt it.
[00:40:49] Speaker A: And before you hang up, the agent says Good luck, Ms. Reed.
[00:40:59] Speaker C: Thanks. That's not concerned concerning. Thanks and I'll just hang up.
[00:41:09] Speaker D: Call her. Id.
[00:41:12] Speaker C: Somehow I don't think it's just that.
[00:41:14] Speaker D: No.
[00:41:18] Speaker C: Okay. Okay. Okay. Well, we can. We can do this then. That's.
[00:41:22] Speaker D: Yes. Yeah, I. I do think hitting him with the car is not a bad idea.
[00:41:26] Speaker C: Okay, well. Well, unfortunately, I don't know how we're going to get. I mean, yeah, I guess if he's in the middle of the parking lot and not between cars.
Something tells me we're not that lucky. But you Know, I. I could be wrong.
[00:41:42] Speaker B: I just had a really out there idea.
[00:41:47] Speaker D: Okay, spill the be.
[00:41:52] Speaker B: We.
We don't want you to be given this serum.
And it's likely like, I don't know, they probably would try to like, you know, stick you with a plunger and needle or something.
What if.
Do we have duct tape?
Can you protect yourself?
[00:42:26] Speaker D: Not our entire bodies, no.
[00:42:29] Speaker C: That sounds incredibly painful.
Just the thought of ripping duct tape off of my body.
[00:42:36] Speaker B: Well, maybe there's something inside of your clothing or something like add layers so that.
Because what would be more painful than I think.
[00:42:50] Speaker C: No, see, I think the loss of.
[00:42:52] Speaker D: Mobility isn't worth it. I think mobility.
[00:42:55] Speaker C: I.
I mean you every. I. First off. First off, like this is. This is not self deprecating. This is just a statement of fact that we all know to be true. I am not the sword smartest person in this car.
However, you are all overlooking like the one thing that RDM said that could actually help us here.
And I'm really surprised that I'm the only one that picked up on it.
Wait, what was it he said that anything that sim. That stimulates adrenaline.
[00:43:33] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:43:34] Speaker C: Might help. Might. But let's get an EpiPen.
[00:43:43] Speaker E: Yeah, it's a good idea. Didn't we talk about that?
[00:43:48] Speaker D: We did. Yeah.
[00:43:49] Speaker A: It was an idea you had, but you didn't get to follow through on it.
[00:43:52] Speaker E: Yeah.
[00:43:54] Speaker D: Do we have time?
[00:43:56] Speaker A: I mean, I. I'd say it is one of you.
[00:44:00] Speaker C: You.
[00:44:00] Speaker A: You haven't established it, but is one of you allergic to something? You could easily establish that right now.
[00:44:05] Speaker D: I think it would be really funny.
[00:44:06] Speaker B: Can we use it. Can we use a drama point to do the.
[00:44:12] Speaker A: The.
[00:44:12] Speaker B: The gains plot break thing? You can have actually like have had EpiPens and adrenaline on us.
[00:44:23] Speaker A: Yeah. I mean, you did talk about it at one point about getting them at some point.
[00:44:27] Speaker D: We did, yeah.
[00:44:27] Speaker A: You just never established that you did get them. But you can spend that drama point to say no, we did get them.
[00:44:34] Speaker D: That sounds fucking great. Let's do it.
[00:44:36] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:44:37] Speaker B: Do we all have to spend a drama point or do. Just one of us has to.
[00:44:43] Speaker A: I will take. I will take a drama point from one of you.
November. Because you had the idea.
[00:44:50] Speaker B: Well, really, Jen had the idea, but I had the idea for the.
[00:44:55] Speaker C: I mean, I can. I can spend my drama point. I just have less than you do. I'll spend my.
[00:45:01] Speaker B: I'll spend my drama point.
[00:45:03] Speaker C: Okay.
[00:45:04] Speaker B: And what if.
Yeah. All. All this time I had a shellfish allergy.
[00:45:14] Speaker A: Incredible.
[00:45:16] Speaker C: Which is really upsetting given where we Live just like. Oh, my God, you can't have any. Any shellfish here. That's so sad. Oh, no, I'm sorry, I can't hear you over the delicious shellfish that I get to eat off your plate instead or instead of you.
But it's. It's that love of shellfish of mine that, like, is one of the reasons that you have the EpiPens. Just in case I forget.
[00:45:39] Speaker D: Incredible. Absolutely incredible.
[00:45:44] Speaker C: Yeah. Great.
So I. I kind of like, look at November, then as I say, EpiPen.
[00:45:55] Speaker B: Oh, wait, I. I do think I have.
I have one in my per. I maybe have two in my bag.
Just at least have one we could do. Should we. Should we give it to you guys now or just in case, like, something else? Like if you get.
[00:46:15] Speaker D: We should have it on us.
[00:46:16] Speaker B: Okay.
[00:46:17] Speaker E: Yeah. It. It's short acting, so it will be out of the system before we get there.
[00:46:24] Speaker B: I'll.
I'll dig around and give them how.
[00:46:28] Speaker D: Many EpiPen.
[00:46:31] Speaker E: They come in a box of two, by the way.
[00:46:34] Speaker A: Yes.
[00:46:35] Speaker E: Local pharmacy technician.
[00:46:39] Speaker B: One for each of them.
[00:46:40] Speaker C: Great.
[00:46:41] Speaker D: I will tuck it somewhere in my clothing.
[00:46:47] Speaker B: I'll. I'll demonstrate how you use it.
[00:46:53] Speaker C: Aren't there illustrations on the outside of this?
[00:46:55] Speaker D: There absolutely are.
[00:46:57] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:46:59] Speaker B: Wherever this thing goes on this side and.
[00:47:02] Speaker D: Orange to the thigh, blue to the sky.
[00:47:04] Speaker C: Yeah. What?
[00:47:06] Speaker B: Orange to the thigh, blue to the sky.
[00:47:10] Speaker D: Yeah, I said the orange part into you.
[00:47:12] Speaker E: Oh, yeah.
[00:47:13] Speaker C: I've never had to use an EpiPen in my life, so I.
[00:47:17] Speaker A: The more, you know, the more, you.
[00:47:19] Speaker C: Know, could save a life.
[00:47:20] Speaker D: Exactly.
Exactly.
[00:47:23] Speaker A: You. Yeah. You have these, and you can tuck them away in your. Your clothes.
[00:47:29] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:47:31] Speaker C: Cool.
[00:47:33] Speaker A: Yeah. And the. You know, Ari, you just. That Desmond is sending out a couple of text messages to anybody he probably knows. Let them to either let them know what's going on or ask for help in any way.
[00:47:45] Speaker D: I'm just imagining Paulo and I in the front. November's cuddling up to Jen in the back with Desmond, like, squished against the side. Just like.
[00:47:56] Speaker C: Yeah. Yeah, pretty much.
I assume at some point he'll, like. He'll. He'll kind of like, giggle or something, and I just, like, elbow him really hard. And then he just kind of goes back to sulking, brooding.
[00:48:12] Speaker D: I'll answer Palo, and I'm just like, when you see that man, just hit him with your car.
[00:48:18] Speaker E: More beyond it.
[00:48:20] Speaker A: Just.
[00:48:20] Speaker B: Just do it.
[00:48:21] Speaker D: Just hit him with your car.
[00:48:22] Speaker E: Wow. I'm wasting so much gas in this. It'll normally drive as fast there's money.
[00:48:27] Speaker D: In the group PayPal.
We can cover your next second guess.
[00:48:34] Speaker E: And then so fast. I'm gonna just look over. I'm not actually psychic, by the way.
[00:48:43] Speaker D: Yeah, okay, that makes sense.
[00:48:47] Speaker E: Screen wipe.
[00:48:48] Speaker A: Wait, Screen wipe. Yeah, you. You pull up to your. You pulling up to your normal parking space?
[00:48:57] Speaker E: Yeah, in the hopes that Gideon is there.
[00:49:00] Speaker A: He's not there.
[00:49:02] Speaker D: Him.
[00:49:05] Speaker C: Lying piece of.
Lying piece of.
[00:49:14] Speaker D: Someone remind.
No, never mind. We're good.
Oh, can I have.
Or can I now, I guess, remove both Gideon and Catriona from our Find My Friends app?
Oh.
[00:49:33] Speaker B: Oh, yeah. Was he on there? No, he wouldn't have been on.
[00:49:37] Speaker D: I think everyone was.
[00:49:38] Speaker B: Oh, no. We did do that. Did we?
[00:49:42] Speaker A: Yeah. Yeah, you did.
[00:49:46] Speaker C: God damn it, Aubrey, you did. That was me.
[00:49:51] Speaker D: That was like.
[00:49:53] Speaker A: That wasn't even Aubrey's fault. That was me.
[00:49:55] Speaker C: Okay, well, then, Ari. I'm gonna yell at Ari.
[00:49:59] Speaker D: We thought he was fine.
[00:50:04] Speaker B: Yeah, we probably did that as soon as we realized it was him.
[00:50:08] Speaker D: Yeah.
[00:50:08] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:50:09] Speaker B: He still knew we were on our way.
[00:50:11] Speaker D: I mean, he already knew we were on our way.
[00:50:13] Speaker C: Well, yeah, he's known where we are the whole time.
[00:50:16] Speaker B: Wait, but can we find him?
Oh, is he on there?
[00:50:19] Speaker D: Oh, yeah.
[00:50:20] Speaker B: Where is he?
[00:50:20] Speaker E: That's how it works.
[00:50:22] Speaker C: Okay, okay. Okay. Yeah, Unless.
[00:50:26] Speaker D: Unless he ditched this one after. After he hung up.
[00:50:28] Speaker A: But no, he's. This. The thing says he's at the statue in the quad.
[00:50:33] Speaker D: Okay, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool, cool. Great. Okay, well, that location confirms it anyway.
[00:50:44] Speaker E: Did I drive to the quad?
I'm trashing this car anyways.
[00:50:52] Speaker D: You know, that's fair.
[00:50:55] Speaker E: You need me to make a drive check. I'll make it with my zero drive.
[00:50:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:51:00] Speaker C: Why do you have zero drive?
[00:51:04] Speaker E: I have a car. I have money.
[00:51:06] Speaker D: Maybe I should have driven. I have one drive.
[00:51:09] Speaker B: I have one drive, too.
[00:51:12] Speaker E: Too bad.
[00:51:14] Speaker A: Yeah, give me. If you want to attempt to drive this up onto campus itself, that will be a dexterity drive. So many. And because of. Because of going off road, I will impose a penalty of minus two.
[00:51:34] Speaker E: Yeah, you know, driving upstairs, all that. I'm using a drama point. What? Could I roll a one?
[00:51:41] Speaker D: Don't say that out loud.
What does it do?
[00:51:44] Speaker E: I rolled a six.
[00:51:47] Speaker C: Okay, better.
[00:51:48] Speaker E: Three plus ten, minus minus two.
Seventeen.
[00:51:55] Speaker A: Excellent. You know, this. This shouldn't work, but somehow, through TV logic, it does.
[00:52:02] Speaker E: Yeah, I lose the bumper along the way. My license falls off most of the.
[00:52:09] Speaker A: Bottom of the car as well. Yeah, yeah.
[00:52:11] Speaker D: There's no undercarriage anymore.
Okay. Now let's play human bowling. Or I guess monster bowling.
[00:52:21] Speaker A: Yeah. You see, the statue in the middle of the quad. It's about. Probably about one in the morning at this point.
You know, we're a couple days out from a full moon, so you've got that kind of hanging over you.
You don't see Gideon.
[00:52:46] Speaker D: What does Loc. His location is supposed to be the quad. Well, just. Just hit them all.
[00:52:51] Speaker E: Do we see Katriana?
[00:52:54] Speaker A: Yes. She is currently tied to the statue, and it's like a little bit off the ground. It's like three or four feet off the ground where the, like, the legs of the statue are that she's tied to.
[00:53:05] Speaker D: Is she still unconscious?
[00:53:06] Speaker A: She is still unconscious.
[00:53:08] Speaker E: Someone go get her.
[00:53:09] Speaker B: Oh, can I look around and make sure that no one's, like, invisible or see if I can see any, like, magically cloaked people? Like, presumably, he's probably. Gideon's trying to, like, stay hidden and stuff. But I. I do think I can see some invisible supernatural beings. And like, if I'm looking really closely, like.
[00:53:34] Speaker A: Yeah, with your. With your sight.
[00:53:36] Speaker B: Yeah. Who's that bastard? Oh, that's an 11.
[00:53:48] Speaker A: This.
The quad is covered in these formless dark masses. Are they people being. Are they spirits? Because, you know, this town is haunted as.
Or is it just people being hidden by magic? Whatever this is doing is attracting a lot of supernatural attention. This is a very powerful ritual.
[00:54:13] Speaker D: A very important question.
Does this car have a sunroof?
[00:54:20] Speaker E: No.
[00:54:21] Speaker B: You.
[00:54:22] Speaker E: I just. This. That's just a fact. It's just the facts.
[00:54:26] Speaker C: No, that's. That's valid.
[00:54:29] Speaker D: But it does have a hatchback.
[00:54:31] Speaker E: It is a hatchback.
[00:54:33] Speaker D: Can you remote open it?
[00:54:39] Speaker E: Yes.
Not well, because it probably got banged up.
[00:54:46] Speaker A: Yeah, you probably at least pop the lock. It's not going to, like, open on its own, but, like, you know, the lock. It'll be. Lock will be disengaged.
[00:54:55] Speaker C: Well, I just kind of like, look at November, give a little grin, and then get out of the car.
[00:55:05] Speaker D: Let's go bowling.
Can we actually drive. Drive the car into them, though?
[00:55:13] Speaker B: I mean, I think we don't even know if it. What's around us. I think, like, I don't want to drive. November will basically be like, I don't. Like there. There's a strong supernatural force there around us, but I don't. I don't know who. If any of them have the family or if this is just the town being the town or.
[00:55:36] Speaker E: I don't know either. I was only gonna run over Gideon if they were in the parking lot. I'm not gonna actually run over to something unknown.
[00:55:43] Speaker D: Okay.
Desmond.
[00:55:50] Speaker A: Yeah.
[00:55:53] Speaker D: Go in a different direction.
Be back up if needed.
They don't need to know there's this many of us.
[00:56:02] Speaker A: Got it.
Don't get yourself killed.
[00:56:08] Speaker D: You too.
[00:56:11] Speaker A: And it suggested for him to go out the hatchback. Yeah, yeah, he will.
[00:56:21] Speaker B: I will follow after Jen and just like.
Because I can probably see things and keep a better eye out in some ways than she can.
[00:56:33] Speaker C: So I don't know about that.
[00:56:44] Speaker D: Everything's gonna be fine.
[00:56:47] Speaker E: Yeah. I mean, I'm gonna be getting out of the car.
I'm gonna carefully put like. I've put the cameras back. I'm gonna look in the hatchback and see if there's anything I could use as a blunt weapon, I think like a tire iron. Yeah, I have a tire iron that's not silver.
[00:57:07] Speaker A: Now those are usually like steel or like iron or something or, you know, whatever. They're not usually silver. So I think you're fine with.
[00:57:13] Speaker C: You mean a tire iron is not made of silver? Crazy.
[00:57:18] Speaker A: Yeah, crazy. I think we call it a tire silver. Just.
[00:57:21] Speaker C: Yeah, you might.
[00:57:22] Speaker E: That's not. That's not. No, it's.
And I'm gonna like, just walk away and like practice, wave it around. Like. I totally know what I'm doing.
[00:57:33] Speaker C: Actually. It would be funnier. Is this one plastic? Because they can also be made of plastic.
[00:57:39] Speaker E: No, this one is definitely like a metal one. Because it's.
[00:57:41] Speaker A: Yeah, it's like a. It's like a metal one, but it's like the. It's like the cross one. So it's like. It's not really the most wieldy thing. It's not like the little curve. It's like the little cross.
[00:57:52] Speaker E: Yeah.
Good for vampires.
[00:57:54] Speaker D: Do we keep weapons in your trunk?
[00:57:59] Speaker B: There probably is like a steak rolling around on the floor. That. That feels in character.
[00:58:04] Speaker D: Oh, there's always a steak.
[00:58:05] Speaker E: I mean, if there were.
[00:58:06] Speaker C: If there was a steak. Yeah, we don't need.
[00:58:09] Speaker E: There were silver chains for this. There's probably a bunch of. We left in the car.
[00:58:14] Speaker A: Yeah. Baseball bats, you know, baseball bat.
[00:58:18] Speaker E: A water gun. Like a Super Soaker.
[00:58:25] Speaker D: Cool. Yeah, I'll grab.
Yeah, if there's. If there's.
I don't think I would have brought a whole ass ax. So I'm. I'll take the baseball bat.
[00:58:39] Speaker A: Baseball bat. I mean, you know, there's probably a few other. Few other kind of things. Like.
Yeah, you, you.
[00:58:46] Speaker D: I mean, I'll take a big ass sword.
[00:58:48] Speaker A: Yeah. Do you want to spend a drama point?
[00:58:54] Speaker D: Yeah, it.
[00:58:55] Speaker A: For one drama point. You can have a Sword.
[00:58:57] Speaker D: I have a big ass sword specifically. Big ass sword. Like that is the name of the. That is the name of the attack.
[00:59:04] Speaker E: It's where the extra tire should have been. Yeah, but Paolo has not. And I haven't had an extra tire in there forever.
[00:59:12] Speaker D: I just keep a fucking greatsword in your, like.
[00:59:14] Speaker E: What do you mean it's in there?
[00:59:16] Speaker D: You didn't need the tire. Tires are fine.
[00:59:21] Speaker A: Not anymore. But you know, as you all limber up, grab your weapons and get out, you see this. You see this statue? You see Catriona. And it's also in this moment. You. You catch the laser dot centered on her forehead.
[00:59:46] Speaker D: How far away are we?
[00:59:48] Speaker A: Yeah, probably like you're like 10ft back from the statue or so.
[00:59:54] Speaker D: Are people looking at us?
Like, have we made eye contact with anyone?
[00:59:59] Speaker A: And like, as you do this and you get out, you kind of just hear the. Just general, like, clapping as a.
Yeah. As. As Gideon sort of comes out from behind the statue. Yeah.
And the women of the hour have arrived.
[01:00:22] Speaker C: Gideon.
[01:00:23] Speaker A: Two for one deal.
Two slayers for one watcher.
[01:00:35] Speaker D: Why?
[01:00:40] Speaker A: Do you know how many people I can empower with two slayers?
Quite a few.
[01:00:45] Speaker D: For what?
[01:00:49] Speaker A: Split power of one slayer between many people.
[01:00:57] Speaker E: But to do what?
[01:01:01] Speaker A: To fight what's coming.
[01:01:04] Speaker D: What's coming?
If you want to fight something, you could have just asked the slayers.
[01:01:11] Speaker A: Yeah, they're not really talking to us much anymore.
[01:01:15] Speaker D: Gee, I wonder why.
[01:01:18] Speaker A: As. As he does, he holds up these two of boxes.
It says, gift for each one of you.
You take what's in this box, use it on yourself, and, you know, just turn yourself over to me.
Cat goes free.
[01:01:44] Speaker D: What's in the boxes?
[01:01:47] Speaker A: He'll sort of set them down.
He doesn't trust you to take them from him.
And if you open it, they're like, yay long.
And it's just a syringe full of like this viscous purple liquid. Doesn't look good.
[01:02:13] Speaker D: What is it.
[01:02:16] Speaker A: To even the playing field.
[01:02:21] Speaker D: Oh, now you want to play fair?
Let our watcher go.
[01:02:29] Speaker A: Inject yourself.
Been many things. Been called many things. Coward is one of them.
I don't think anyone will be calling me that when the only thing standing between the world and utter destruction.
[01:02:56] Speaker E: No, I think I'll still call you a coward.
[01:03:01] Speaker D: Is the statue, like, still kind of between us, or are we like, close enough that there's nothing between us?
[01:03:07] Speaker A: He's kind of standing right in front of it. You'd have to go through him to get to the statue.
[01:03:12] Speaker D: Okay.
[01:03:25] Speaker B: Do it.
I think if You. If you do it.
I mean, what if.
If they weaken themselves and you want to take their powers? You say you have two slayers right here, right?
Get the. Get the juices of. Of. Get. Get as much. Take as much as you would from one, but if you take it from both, they could both survive.
[01:04:08] Speaker A: I don't think you understand how it works.
[01:04:12] Speaker D: I think it's a full life force.
Am I right?
[01:04:22] Speaker A: To consume what makes them human.
Their hearts.
[01:04:37] Speaker B: And you're giving this power just, what, to anyone?
[01:04:41] Speaker A: No, to my family.
Those who follow me.
[01:04:51] Speaker E: So cult.
[01:04:59] Speaker A: Some may call us that.
[01:05:03] Speaker E: Huh? I'm some people. When you call yourself father, people don't. Are not supposed to follow them. They're supposed to join them. They say they're following you. You're putting yourself in a weird position of power. Can we just beat their ass?
[01:05:19] Speaker D: I have a question, and it's. It's very out there. Feel free to tell me to fuck off.
I would like to attempt like, you know, like we've got our hands in our pockets, et cetera, et cetera. I would like to attempt a series of steps.
[01:05:38] Speaker A: Okay?
[01:05:39] Speaker D: One, use my touch ID on my phone to unlock my phone, and then use muscle memory to navigate to the phone app, go into favorites and call Desmond.
[01:05:52] Speaker A: All right, let's do a.
I know it's wild.
[01:06:02] Speaker D: I'm happy to roll this wild card. I'm happy to roll something wild.
[01:06:05] Speaker A: Yeah, let's roll wild card. Let's throw a wild card for this because it's. It is this. This feels like it comes down to pure luck.
[01:06:13] Speaker D: Absolutely.
[01:06:13] Speaker A: Give me a wild card times two.
[01:06:15] Speaker D: Just. Just pure wild card. No, no acc.
[01:06:19] Speaker A: Wild card. And double it wild. Double your wild card.
[01:06:22] Speaker D: All right, that's a nine there.
[01:06:26] Speaker A: A nine.
[01:06:26] Speaker D: That is adequate.
[01:06:28] Speaker A: Adequate success. It's. It's sloppy and you're fumbling, but at least he's. At least he's in the favorites. It takes you a second, but, yeah, you're. You're able to do it. And you get him.
[01:06:39] Speaker D: I'm basically just, like, feeling the phone for the vibration of his voice coming through, because I won't be able to hear it, but I might be able to feel it.
[01:06:47] Speaker A: You definitely feel it.
[01:06:49] Speaker D: Great.
And I'm just going to look at Gideon.
You have a sniper, and. And the idea is that I'm trying to alert, obviously, Desmond to the fact that there's a sniper on Catriona so we can go and deal with it.
[01:07:05] Speaker A: Oh, yeah, yeah. He says, well, look, it's a game of trust. You trust That I won't kill her. But you know, you can't just do your slayer thing and get rid of that.
[01:07:25] Speaker C: See, here's the problem with that is at this point, I don't trust you at all.
Because we did trust you before and.
[01:07:34] Speaker D: You did nothing but lie to us.
[01:07:38] Speaker C: So we're unfortunately at an impasse where you say that we need to trust you that you're not going to kill her.
[01:07:47] Speaker D: How do you know she's not already dead?
[01:07:52] Speaker A: He will move up, stand on the statue and sort of grab her by the back of the head where the hair is and pull the face up. You kind of see that she's.
Now she's not kind of hunched over like this. You can kind of see her chest moving up and down. She's breathing. Her eyes flutter groggily like she's trying to wake up, but she can't.
[01:08:21] Speaker B: Does it look like there's any spell on her? Like, is she. Because we. The whole thing with, you know, we. We started. This is where he was like puppeteering someone who was already dead. Like, is. Can I tell is she actually still alive?
[01:08:36] Speaker D: Or.
[01:08:36] Speaker A: Give me, give me a perception occult for your site.
[01:08:42] Speaker B: My sight is a perception notice.
[01:08:45] Speaker A: Perception notice, then perception notice. Yeah.
[01:08:48] Speaker B: Oh, that was cocked.
Okay, that's a level three success level.
[01:08:59] Speaker A: Three success.
[01:09:04] Speaker B: Like my.
That is like it says like on three.
Three or more success levels reveal a witch or other supernatural being. So.
[01:09:14] Speaker A: Oh, there is a witch here, but she is not he. And he was not the one that was puppeting person. It was the witch.
Yeah, the witch was puppeting your dear friend Gary or whatever his name was.
[01:09:28] Speaker B: Walter.
[01:09:29] Speaker A: What's his face?
[01:09:31] Speaker D: We were close.
[01:09:33] Speaker C: Gary.
[01:09:33] Speaker A: Walter. I don't know.
[01:09:34] Speaker D: Same name. Basically the same name.
[01:09:38] Speaker A: Yes, the witch was. And she's here. She's sort of hidden herself behind a veil just out of sight. But no, Catriona is still alive.
Whatever it is is more mundane like a poison or a drug.
[01:09:57] Speaker B: And since he walked over to Catriona, could I take this opportunity to leave in and kind of like whisper to Jen and Ari? Like if you pretend to take the. The sedative, the injection, that might just give him enough time. You can get close to him and then give yourself the. The adrenaline.
[01:10:26] Speaker D: Right.
[01:10:37] Speaker E: While. While Gideon is putting his like boy little show. Could I see where the sniper, like, can I like try to follow the line of sight to see if like I could recognize it where it's coming from?
[01:10:51] Speaker A: Yeah, give me, give me a perception notice.
[01:10:56] Speaker E: Just rolling my best rolls. That's a 20, baby.
[01:11:01] Speaker A: A 20? Yeah. You do this, you follow it. You see this figure in dark tactical gear on a roof, and then a moment later, it's like. Almost like the moment out of a horror movie where it just gets yellow.
[01:11:19] Speaker B: Oh.
[01:11:20] Speaker E: Ah. So red dot goes away.
[01:11:23] Speaker A: Yes, it does. Gideon hasn't noticed it yet, but I'd say the rest of you, looking directly at Catriona, notices red dot has vanished.
[01:11:37] Speaker D: My boy.
[01:11:42] Speaker E: Go with it.
I am then going to look at getting Gideon and just say, did I just kick your ass?
If you can't even beat me, how are you gonna beat the Slayers? No, no, you don't beat their ass. I'm gonna beat your ass, Gideon.
[01:12:00] Speaker B: How?
[01:12:00] Speaker D: I don't get yourself killed.
[01:12:02] Speaker E: No, you, Gideon. I'm gonna run at him with the tire iron.
[01:12:05] Speaker A: Oh, my God.
[01:12:08] Speaker D: This is such soccer energy right now.
[01:12:10] Speaker A: Yeah, it is, actually.
Just for shits and giggles. Paolo.
[01:12:18] Speaker E: Oh. Huh?
[01:12:19] Speaker A: Can you give me a willpower double draw?
[01:12:24] Speaker E: I will say I have nerves of steel, which does gives me a benefit. Let me read that really quick.
[01:12:32] Speaker B: Wait, Willpower double. Does that mean rolling twice?
[01:12:35] Speaker A: Is that a good thing? You. You double your. Like, whatever your. Whatever your willpower is. You just double it and you add it to your roll.
[01:12:43] Speaker B: Oh, werewolf things.
[01:12:49] Speaker E: There's. There's a steel. Where are you in this book? Okay, I found you. I do get a plus four to rolls or.
[01:13:00] Speaker D: That'S just to.
Oh, that's just for fear effects.
[01:13:05] Speaker A: Oh.
[01:13:05] Speaker D: I think.
[01:13:06] Speaker E: Is this a fear effect?
[01:13:08] Speaker A: I mean, you may not like what happens fail. So, sure.
[01:13:19] Speaker B: What did you roll?
[01:13:22] Speaker E: So my willpower is three. So double. That is six.
[01:13:27] Speaker D: You didn't roll one, did you?
[01:13:31] Speaker E: Plus one is seven.
[01:13:40] Speaker A: Yeah, it's a.
You know, the whole lipy being tied to strong emotions, pal, is looking a little fuzzy right now.
[01:14:05] Speaker E: Do I start wolfing out immediately?
[01:14:08] Speaker A: You kind of do. Yeah.
[01:14:10] Speaker C: I kind of want to see how this plays out, actually.
Me too.
[01:14:15] Speaker E: I think, like, I'm, like, running with the tire iron. And then, like, maybe halfway through, this transformation is starting to happen, and I just drop it and I start running on all fours and I'm just gonna tackle Gideon.
[01:14:31] Speaker A: Yeah, give me a.
We'll do a.
We'll do a strength acrobatics roll.
[01:14:40] Speaker E: I. I get a bunch of as. So do I add the werewolf or do I.
[01:14:44] Speaker A: Yes, you do add the werewolf. Shit.
[01:14:46] Speaker E: Okay, so I get plus four to my strength for this.
[01:14:53] Speaker A: So you said strength doubled strength acrobatics roll. Because you're, like, tackling him.
You're tackling him.
[01:15:03] Speaker E: I don't have anything in acrobatics. It's just strength. But so that's now plus six.
So I upped it.
I'm going to add a drama point to turn that to a 19.
[01:15:19] Speaker A: A 19. Yeah.
Yeah. Of all the times for Gideon to roll a one on his dice.
Yeah. You're not going to like kill him or anything, but it's. It's almost like that scene in the Lion King where Zazu is sitting on the rock and then Simba.
[01:15:43] Speaker E: Yeah, yeah. It's literally that I. I tackle him into the statue next to Katriana and then I just like start pummeling his ass.
[01:15:54] Speaker D: I'mma jump into action too then.
[01:15:57] Speaker C: Oh yeah, we're here.
[01:15:58] Speaker D: Might as well go.
[01:15:59] Speaker C: Is not the only one who can have that much fun.
[01:16:04] Speaker D: Let's these bunkers up.
[01:16:09] Speaker A: Yeah. November. What are you. What are you doing? Are you just standing here and just watching all of this?
[01:16:14] Speaker B: I guess.
[01:16:18] Speaker C: I'm really trying to think.
[01:16:20] Speaker B: Of what I can do and I.
[01:16:27] Speaker A: Can you do anything to the witch?
[01:16:28] Speaker C: Possibly, Yeah.
[01:16:31] Speaker B: I want to try to find that fucking witch. Honestly, I want, I want to see her and I want to maybe even try to ins. If I could use psychic damage, go real out there. I'd love to go that far. But first I gotta just find her, I guess, because I know she's here, but I don't know where she is.
[01:17:01] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. I mean, if you just want to give me just a quick.
How many successes did you get on your previous roll?
[01:17:09] Speaker C: Was it three?
[01:17:14] Speaker B: Previous roll. I think it was a level three.
[01:17:16] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:17:17] Speaker A: Yeah. Oh, I can say because of that, when you know she's here, you know she's close to the statue. You. You see sort of a shrouded form in the mist you're relatively sure is her.
[01:17:30] Speaker B: Okay.
Okay.
I'm just gonna be like, hey, you try to kill my girlfriend.
[01:17:51] Speaker A: Yep.
[01:17:51] Speaker B: I'm gonna tear you to pieces.
[01:18:01] Speaker D: I love that V's voice got so high that the mic just did not.
[01:18:07] Speaker C: They're so cute when they're angry.
[01:18:13] Speaker D: Does she want uppies?
[01:18:16] Speaker B: I do get that witch.
[01:18:21] Speaker A: Yeah. Well, yeah, we'll, we'll, we'll get a little fast and loose with some spell casting.
[01:18:31] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:18:31] Speaker A: Let's first start off with just the basic role for spell casting. A D10 plus willpower, plus occultism, plus any kind of things you might get from any qualities. And the rest of you, give me your. Whatever roles you're using to hit Gideon with.
[01:18:53] Speaker C: Well, my initiative is 27 and I rolled a 16 to slash at him with my axe.
[01:19:06] Speaker A: I mean, there's also. There is also the righteous fury for the drama. You get. It's cost you two drama points, but you get plus five to all attack actions.
[01:19:20] Speaker C: Oh, why not? That sounds lovely. What a time to use it. So, yes, I will. I will spend two of those points to make that a 21.
[01:19:31] Speaker A: 21.
Yeah.
The other two of you currently in.
You did really well on attacking Gideon and attacking him. So he's going to take a second to be able to react. He's got slayer strength and slayer stamina. Like, stamina. But he doesn't have like the reaction times that a slayer does.
[01:19:54] Speaker D: Good 23 to hit 23.
[01:19:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:19:59] Speaker D: Yep.
[01:20:00] Speaker A: Would you also like to spend two points for some righteous fury? This feels like a time. A good time for it.
[01:20:05] Speaker D: What does R Fury do again?
[01:20:06] Speaker A: It plus five to all attack.
It does, but it just pushes it even further.
[01:20:14] Speaker D: Oh, does it do more damage?
[01:20:16] Speaker A: It does more damage.
[01:20:16] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm gonna do that.
I'm gonna do that. Then how much more damage?
[01:20:26] Speaker A: I mean, it's. It's also good again. It's like versus his.
He. He can't essentially defend himself. So you're going to be doing more damage anyways, so.
And Paolo, do you want to give me another.
Why don't you give me a. A bite roll?
Dexterity plus whatever you might have combat wise, if you have any points in getting medieval or.
[01:21:02] Speaker E: No, I am not built for five Kung fu.
[01:21:06] Speaker A: No wild card.
[01:21:10] Speaker E: Just.
[01:21:11] Speaker A: No, just dexterity.
[01:21:14] Speaker E: I get a bonus for dexterity. Thankfully, because of wolfing out, I'm gonna spend drama points like wild.
So it's gonna be a 17.
[01:21:27] Speaker A: 17. Okay.
And in November, what is your role for this spell?
[01:21:32] Speaker B: Well, so my willpower plus occult plus roll was 14 and I have psychic visions, which is like.
I don't know if we want to be able to say. I can use that to add.
[01:21:53] Speaker A: Yeah, I go for it. Now is. Now is the time.
[01:21:56] Speaker B: Cool. Because that would mean it would be a 15, which would go from good to very good.
I could also even.
Well, I mean, if I added 10, it would still. It would be mind boggling no matter what. But actually, you know what? I do kind of want to get a little mind boggling on this.
[01:22:19] Speaker A: Let's do this. Now is. Now is literally the time. It is the season finale.
[01:22:24] Speaker B: Yeah.
So that's. I forgot that we get extractions spell casting.
[01:22:30] Speaker A: Yeah, you do.
So. Yeah, you do that. And what. What is your. What's your goal? Is it just to unleash raw power on this person. Person.
[01:22:46] Speaker B: Well, you know, so I've been having reoccurring nightmares about seeing a bloody face.
And I've been feeling worrying that it is my girlfriend. Well, what if it's this witch instead? What if in like, I just like, unleash upon her the feelings of like, what I feel watching, like the visions. What I also like, unleash upon her what I felt when I like, experienced the Slayer, like, being killed before and like, seeing like, if I can like, inflict that psychic pain that is so intensely that it actually like, begins to tear her apart and like, cause physical wounds.
[01:23:40] Speaker A: Yeah. You. You most certainly hear a scream because of this.
I hesitate yet again to use this word because I'm not trying to make a pun. But the three. The three of you did dogpile Gideon.
[01:24:07] Speaker B: Dogpile.
[01:24:08] Speaker E: Yeah, I did.
[01:24:12] Speaker A: And look, he planned for a lot of things he didn't plan for. Werewolf Paolo.
[01:24:18] Speaker E: That's where he up. Cuz I.
[01:24:20] Speaker D: That's where he up.
[01:24:22] Speaker B: He underestimated he had a werewolf on his team. That someone might become a werewolf.
[01:24:28] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:24:30] Speaker E: And Gideon, I don't know that he.
[01:24:32] Speaker D: Was counting on it being them specifically.
[01:24:34] Speaker E: But in Gideon's defense, werewolf versus Paolo alone, usually werewolf would win. I get that.
[01:24:41] Speaker D: I mean, werewolf did kind of win, but yeah.
[01:24:47] Speaker A: There were many factors that he could not predict.
[01:24:51] Speaker D: Yeah.
[01:24:53] Speaker A: As I guess the question is you. You're not letting him get back up, are you?
[01:25:02] Speaker D: No. He takes a boatload of damage and then he dies.
[01:25:05] Speaker A: Yeah, there is like.
Yep. There's something to be said about hubris here. Gideon's hubris was the end of him.
And now he's a Gideon shaped red paste on the ground.
[01:25:24] Speaker D: Jen and I just pulling our blades out from his very lifeless body.
[01:25:29] Speaker C: Yeah, there's. There were definitely some. Some cracked bones. And as I just kind of like pull the ax back, there's that wonderful like squelching, cracking sound.
Very lovely.
And then just for good measure, because I'm so mad and this went much faster than I was expecting it to, I'm just going to smash my axe into his body a couple more times.
[01:25:56] Speaker A: Just to make yourself feel better.
[01:25:58] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:25:58] Speaker D: And I'll let you know, I'm gonna turn to the rest of whoever else is here next.
[01:26:09] Speaker B: Yeah. Who else is here besides this witch?
[01:26:13] Speaker A: There were people.
You.
Many of them have decided that maybe Gideon's plan didn't work out. Maybe Gideon got a little too far ahead of himself. This witch is also one of those that is making tracks.
Family is broken. And who really remains to be scene as to what's going to happen after that.
Most of the people were here through supernatural disguised means. And yeah, they're gone now. They turn tail as soon as the things started looking bad. And that's when the. You hear the sound of a helicopter.
[01:27:06] Speaker E: Hey, director.
[01:27:08] Speaker A: Yeah?
[01:27:09] Speaker E: Do I go out of wolf form?
[01:27:13] Speaker A: Yeah. Because it is not actually a. It is not actually full moon, right? You're not a full moon. And yeah, you, you.
You're. You're feeling much less angry now.
[01:27:24] Speaker E: Yeah.
[01:27:25] Speaker D: You have a chunk of Gideon in your teeth.
[01:27:29] Speaker A: Gideon?
[01:27:29] Speaker E: Yeah, no, just that my, like my clothes ripped and like, not in a flattering way.
And I just.
I just like, look at my hands and start wiping my face. I'm like, we need to talk. After this.
[01:27:50] Speaker D: I take my phone out of my back pocket. Desmond, please come and give Paulo your coat.
[01:27:57] Speaker A: Yeah. And Desmond sort of like sidles up as you say. This is, you know, just. He's got.
[01:28:03] Speaker D: Oh, perfect. And I hang up.
[01:28:05] Speaker A: I hang up on him just like.
[01:28:09] Speaker D: And then I'm gonna go check on Catriana.
[01:28:12] Speaker A: She's crocky and waking up.
[01:28:17] Speaker D: Oh, are the two. Are the two syringes still there?
[01:28:21] Speaker A: Yes, still there.
She looks at you and goes, morning, sleepyhead. I'm willing to admit I made a mistake.
[01:28:40] Speaker C: I was just gonna interject that I'm still hacking into Gideon's body while this conversation is going on.
[01:28:46] Speaker D: On.
[01:28:46] Speaker C: You just hear the squelching sounds and the cracking bones and just the grunts from me. So this moment is great. Just. There's just stuff going on in the background.
[01:28:56] Speaker B: There's probably a parallel moment happening with the Alice, I don't know. But instead of like, you know, physically attacking, it's just like standing there staring.
[01:29:12] Speaker A: Like you're psychically decimating this person.
[01:29:15] Speaker C: Yeah.
[01:29:17] Speaker A: And what were you saying, Ari?
[01:29:22] Speaker D: Safe to say I don't think the family will be, at least not in its current capacity, a problem for us anymore.
[01:29:33] Speaker A: Is it always the hot ones?
[01:29:36] Speaker B: Ew.
[01:29:39] Speaker E: What? While Jen is like, still not that hot.
[01:29:45] Speaker D: Not anymore.
[01:29:46] Speaker E: I'm looking at you, Jen. I'm just.
Was that mostly you or did I do any of that?
[01:29:55] Speaker C: I. I respond between hacks. I. This, this guy is going to be mint by the time I'm done. This is so. There's so much relief coming from this. It's actually really, really nice. And I'll just, in between grunts say, no, you helped a lot.
I'd wash your mouth out though. Soon, probably.
[01:30:26] Speaker D: I will just go up to the very staring November briefly and Just hand him back the epitome.
[01:30:36] Speaker A: Did you. Did you at least untie Catriona?
[01:30:38] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah. Oh my God. Yeah.
[01:30:42] Speaker C: Conversation with her while she's tied up. It's fine.
[01:30:46] Speaker A: Like sort of slid down to like the base of the statue. Yeah, yeah.
[01:30:51] Speaker D: I helped her down.
[01:30:51] Speaker A: She's leaned against and I made sure.
[01:30:55] Speaker D: To kind of like make sure that she's reasonably aware from the blood splatter that's happening right now.
[01:30:59] Speaker A: Yeah.
[01:31:01] Speaker D: And then I'll just briefly just give November back her EpiPen and then go back to. And then go back to collect the two vials just for safekeeping and then go.
Just let Jen do her thing.
[01:31:18] Speaker A: Yeah, yeah. There's also the. That helicopter, that touchdown on the quad in the middle of the night.
You see flashback flashlight at them. Yeah. You see a man in his probably mid-30s get off the helicopter, followed by a second agent, and they slowly approach you and says, which one of you is Ms. Reed?
[01:31:51] Speaker C: That's me.
[01:31:56] Speaker D: Oh, that was Gideon. It's not anymore.
[01:32:01] Speaker A: Well, certainly have the institutes. Thanks.
[01:32:07] Speaker D: Yeah. What exactly is the Institute?
[01:32:11] Speaker A: Institute?
[01:32:13] Speaker D: Because we just took care of your.
[01:32:15] Speaker A: Little problem and we thank you for it. Institute is an organization of like minded individuals who.
Slayers can't be everywhere. We try to be the places where they can't be helping people.
Institute is a bit of a shortened version of our name.
We like to be able to think we can.
Many eyes everywhere. The Oculus Institute.
And I am Agent Mount and this is Dr. Moran.
We'll be taking over things from here. We'll get it cleaned up and cleared with your school. As far as they can tell, it was an accident.
[01:33:16] Speaker D: There's a bit of property damage. We. Well, we drove the car. Just go that way and you'll see.
[01:33:26] Speaker A: Yeah, we will clean up that as well.
[01:33:32] Speaker B: I don't know.
[01:33:33] Speaker C: We do.
[01:33:34] Speaker B: I kind of look over at the de. You know, still body of Alice McClay and just be like, I don't know if she's still alive. She stopped screaming.
[01:33:51] Speaker A: Well, if she is still alive, she can answer questions. If not, we'll bury the body.
And do you think.
[01:34:06] Speaker D: Do you think the family will continue to come after us with Gideon gone?
[01:34:11] Speaker A: It's hard to say.
There are other members of the family that are unaccounted for, but they will certainly be disorganized for a very long time.
There is. And you watch is the one that he identified as Dr. Moran, this woman in her late 20s. Move over to where Catriona is and start just medically checking her out. Making sure she's okay.
And we'll also look over all of you if any of you are injured. Well, treat your wounds. She's quiet.
Yeah, she's actually palace doing pretty good. And werewolves heal pretty fast.
[01:34:49] Speaker D: Ah, you.
[01:34:51] Speaker A: But yeah, Ari, you will get. You will get some treatment. And Dr. Moran is quiet, but, you know, gentle hands take care of you.
As you all, you will notice that the sky is starting to lighten.
You've survived. You survived the night.
[01:35:15] Speaker C: At this point, I stop hacking the body, and I stand up and I'm just covered, and I walk over to November, and I kind of like, I'm holding the axe down at my side, and I reach up and like, go to wipe some viscera off my face and just kind of smear blood across my forehead. And I look at November and I just kind of give a little smile and said, see, I told you I wasn't gonna die.
[01:35:42] Speaker B: I kiss her.
[01:35:47] Speaker C: I kiss back, and it's all gory and sticky and hot and. But it's great.
[01:35:55] Speaker D: Ew.
[01:35:56] Speaker E: I love Jo's body.
[01:35:58] Speaker D: Actual quote from Ari. Like, I look over and I just go, ew.
[01:36:07] Speaker B: Maybe I just gotta embrace the fact that I eat dead people. Or at least their memories.
[01:36:16] Speaker D: Your girlfriend likes to live covered in blood.
[01:36:21] Speaker A: Like, everyone has their flaws.
[01:36:23] Speaker D: Yeah, yeah.
[01:36:23] Speaker C: Don't kink shame, okay? Just.
[01:36:26] Speaker A: He's got a kink ass. Why?
[01:36:29] Speaker D: Exactly. I'm not kink shamming. I'm simply kink asking why. Yeah, I didn't really ask why. I just acknowledged it.
[01:36:35] Speaker A: Anyway, you camera moves one last time as we see this office in this upscale building. There's a woman behind the desk.
She has a folder in front of her with the name Gideon Post on it.
She closes it and stamps it with deceased.
And then she reaches over, grabs her phone, picks it up and says, unfortunately, Mr. Post didn't work out. We'll have to seek other methods.
Bring me the next candidate.
As things close out, as we end this end, Eat your young.
Maybe there'll be more in the future. Maybe we'll figure out. I just always love leaving a cliffhanger just in case.
Well, I think now is a great time for everyone to go around and tell you who they are and who they've been before. Everyone yells at me for 20 minutes.
[01:37:59] Speaker C: Yep, that's gonna happen.
[01:38:04] Speaker D: Aubrey. What the.
[01:38:06] Speaker C: Aubry. What the.
Yeah. Okay. Well, this is gonna make for great Patreon content For the last time for this season, why don't we hear from our wonder. Wonderful, wonderful cast, Our guests here at Queen's Court Games. And we will start this episode with Dusty. Dusty, my darling. If people want to see more of you, hear more of Paolo's thoughts, or see any of the other amazing characters that you play anywhere on the Internet.
[01:38:42] Speaker D: Where can they do that?
[01:38:44] Speaker E: You could find me online at Dusty Hill. You could also find me in many works with Aubrey. There's about a 50 chance that I'm doing something that Aubrey's also doing.
Co producer and cast and maybe sometimes GM of Goblets and Gays cast to bring your own mech cast of Onama Giri. Maybe check that one out. If you like this show, I'm not upset about it at all. You could also find me at Unwavering Force, a new show by Goblins and Gays Presents. I don't know if we're calling it that, but I am now. Interrogation. If you like hearing people talk about their blurbos and also have tarot readings done for them, you should check it out. It's at Interrogate. Episodes will be out by now. I have so many cool guests. Maybe some people, people that you're seeing in front of this camera right now. It's great. It's lovely. Also find my games at From Dust to Dice at Itch or if you go to Dusty Hill, it also works.
I write games like Lesbian Werewolf Crime Fighters, Trans Vampire Cowboys, Dracula owes you money. That kind of thing. If anything like that, like, makes you think, huh? Check it out. And I'm done talking, so I'm gonna yell at Aubrey in about 10 minutes.
[01:40:11] Speaker C: Wonderful.
I. I don't know why Dracula would owe me money, but like, I'm here for it because, you know, I mean, we all needed all the help we can get and I'm sure Dracula has lots of investments. So.
Yeah. Next on our fantastic list, they're drinking some water. So I'm gonna go with Jen. Jen, if people want to see more of all of the amazing stuff that you do, all of the amazing character work, storytelling, all of that that you do, all of the amazing work that you put into your characters. Where can they see all of that? Where can they find a list, an ever growing list of wonderful projects that you're a part of.
[01:40:53] Speaker D: Oh my God. Okay. Hello. Hello. I am Jenn, aka JennBurb. I do actual play performance, production, the occasional overlay, and project management.
I specialize in notion. God, I love notion. Anyway, some places you can find me, obviously here on this show, which is over for now. Don't worry, I'm going to. I'm going to yell Aubrey until Until we get season two.
But other than this, I can be found running things over on Girls Run these Worlds, which is a channel dedicated to uplifting the voices of women and femmes while also placing a priority on diversity and intersectionality. I can also be found every other week, every other Sunday on the Loremistresses Channel.
10am Eastern Time, 7am My time. I suffer for my art. I suffer for it and I love it.
Playing DND5E it may be vanilla, but at least it's in Theros, which is a really fun, like ancient Greece inspired setting. I can be found on socials Enber pretty much everywhere, but I'm mostly on Twitter. In this house we dead name Twitter and yeah, that's me.
[01:42:03] Speaker C: The only acceptable dead name.
[01:42:05] Speaker D: Yes.
[01:42:07] Speaker C: All right, well, now that they're not drinking anything, I don't feel bad about pitching over to Saffron. Saffron, the amazing November.
Absolutely fantastic to play across from. But if people want to see more of all of the different characters that you bring to the TTRPG world, where can they do that?
[01:42:29] Speaker B: Yeah, you can find me at Gaubhefta. G A U B H E F T A pretty much everywhere. I also have like a little portfolio if you look up Shiftegaub card. That's card with two Rs.
I'm a video and audio editor, actual play performer, got a couple podcasts. I do stuff with midnight ceremonies media and I'm just so grateful that Queensport Games had me on for this show.
[01:43:06] Speaker C: Honestly, like, super, super. Our pleasure. I think. I think Aubrey and I both feel the same and I can kind of speak for the group as a whole in that regard. This has been a phenomenal show. I have been so, so, so happy to be a part of it.
The, the story has been great, but weirdly, the story would not exist without our fantastic director, the amazing, cute as a button bisexual goth disaster. Aubry.
Also QCG's technical director. I guess I should put that too. That's also kind of a thing. So award winning, multi award winning technical director, audio editor, all that great stuff. Aubry, if people want to see more about what you do, watch you run more games or see any of the bisexual disasters that you play as, as, as a player. Where can they do that?
[01:44:03] Speaker A: Yeah, well, I mean, you know, see more things that I do over here. You've got Mysteries of Ravenswood. I ran a Pathfinder thing. It played in a lot of Delta Green. Played in a lot of Delta Green here.
[01:44:14] Speaker C: Yeah, we do like our Delta Green, don't we?
[01:44:17] Speaker A: I Did play it by Sexual Disaster in one of the Delta Green games and the other time I just played a really tired moment.
[01:44:22] Speaker C: Yeah, you did. Yeah.
[01:44:25] Speaker A: Yeah.
And you also get me the Gobbles of Gays where I. I make Dusty say Aubrey, what the. On a regular basis, usually after every Sunday, after every session.
So go check out Tyrant of the Dark Star or Blood of Kings or Last Few Spices, any of those really great shows we have over there.
And you can also catch. Catch me being a player alongside Dusty and bring your own mech and Taste of Iron coming up in the future. Whenever that is out. It's probably out by the time you're hearing this. Other than that, there's a lot of other projects that I'm a part of. So you just go check out my Twitter or bluesky or any of those links and it'll usually tell you where I can be found any given week. So yeah, I will toss it back to you. Bea, tell us all the nice things about you.
[01:45:18] Speaker C: Aw shucks, that list is pretty short. But you all can find me anywhere on the Internet. B is for vampire because my name is Bea and I like vampires. You can find me over here at Queensport Games doing any number of things.
I don't know, I play in some stuff. Every now and then I'll run a thing if the mood strikes me.
[01:45:38] Speaker D: It.
[01:45:38] Speaker C: It doesn't often, but sometimes it does.
I also do a lot of art and some audio when Aubry's too busy or we don't give her enough time to do it and then we feel bad about asking her to try and cram a bunch of work into a very small window. So then I'm like, no, it's fine, I'll do it, it's fine.
And then I go do it. Or you know, showing up as Ivy LaRue on the All Night Society, the most award winning Vampire the Masquerade podcast on the Internet.
It's pretty great if I do say so myself. But you know, I mean, I'm also everywhere. You know, if. If you want to see me, you can, you can go see me over on Crit Hit Chronicles where I played most recently, I believe I played in a kids on bikes game where it was Haunting of Hill House.
[01:46:25] Speaker B: Inspired.
[01:46:26] Speaker C: It was lovely. I played Megan Heather, just one part of the two part Heather Criteria crew. We are the Heathers.
It was great.
And you know, I've also been in like a ten Candles game which was really fun. It was like definitely not Jurassic park, but like, so I don't know, just like, in a lot of, like, fun stuff lately. But if you are like, wow, Vy, that's like so much stuff. How am I gonna remember it? Don't worry, you can just go follow me online at V is for vampire. And you can see it all there. So, yeah, that's me now, I think since we've all kind of been talking for forever and we still have more talking to do because right now, right now you can actually go watch this. Now we're going to go record. But here's the thing. We recorded in the past, which means that right now, the present, you can go and watch us on Patreon, talk about the finale and yell at Aubrey and do all of these things and unpack everything that we just went through without having to wait for us to do it. And the best part is it is live right now. You can go right now. Five bucks gets you in the door and you can watch us. You can catch up on all of the behind the scenes stuff. If you're like, oh, my God, how did I never know that there's behind the scenes stuff? Guess what? You can go watch all of it right now. Every single part of it. So definitely go check that out. You can, you know, just exclamation mark Patreon or it's definitely in the show notes. If you're watching on YouTube, go check it out. We're gonna go yell at Aubrey and I think we'll probably see you here.
Not this show specifically, not this cast specifically, but Queen square games. We'll see you same time next week, but about two hours ago with something new and fun and exciting. So until then, bye for.
[01:48:12] Speaker E: Sa.
